We invite you to take part in a conference on “GDPR in financial institutions – first experiences, interpretations and new regulations”, which will be held in Warsaw on 27-28 June 2019.
May marks one year since the GDPR became effective. But in spite of passage of time, its interpretation continues to be a source of problems. Moreover, on 4 April 2019 the President of the Republic of Poland signed an act introducing amendments to national laws in order to adapt them to the GDPR, which included acts regarding the financial institutions sector. The financial secotr is an industry in which processing of personal data is a key element in most business processes.
The various themes of the conference will be presented from the point of view of the legislator responsible for laws aligned with the GDPR (Ministry of Digital Affairs), the regulator (President of the Office for Personal Data Protection), as well as commercial associations (Polish Chamber of Insurance, Polish Bank Association). Speakers will include lawyers experienced in the field of personal data protection.
The conference will be hosted by our experts, Xawery Konarski, Attorney-at-Law, and Jan Byrski, PhD Habil., Attorney-at-Law, who will give the following lectures:
- “GDPR implementation in the financial sector – identification of key legal problems”
- “GDPR post-implementation audit in a financial institution – a checklist”
The Traple Konarski Podrecki i Wspólnicy Law Firm is the expert partner of this event.
