Conference “Rethinking Patent Law as an incentive to innovation”

The Polish Patent Office, the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan invite you to the International Conference “Rethinking Patent Law as an incentive to innovation” The event will be held on 8 and 9 October 2018 in the Centre of Innovation and Technology Transfer Management of the Warsaw University of Technology.

The Conference is one of the events organised as part of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Patent Office and the system of industrial property protection in Poland.

The meeting will discuss the basic functions of patent law in the context of stimulating innovation. A number of recent issues and topics regarding intellectual property management and its commercialisation are also included in the programme.

We are happy to inform you that the Conference will be attended by the Partners from our Law Firm – Professor Elżbieta Traple who will host the panel “Boundaries of patentability” within which Tomasz Targosz, PhD, will give a lecture entitled “Second medical use patents and the boundaries of patent law”. In addition, the opening speeches will include a lecture by Professor of the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Paweł Podrecki, PhD, Habil.
