The Faculty and Finance and Law at the Kraków University of Economics announces the beginning of recruitment for the first edition of postgraduate studies in “Protection of personal data in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)”.

The studies are addressed to all participants in economic trade – primarily representatives of legal professions, managers of various levels, data protection officers (DPO), and public administration staff in the broad sense.

The objective of the postgraduate studies is to acquire specialised knowledge on the protection of personal data in GDPR, which is necessary to function in the economic environment, not only because of the application of new legal provisions since 2018 – the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), but also the application of other legal regulations connected with the processing of personal data.
