|Emilia’s areas of practice include copyright law, industrial property law, civil law, and pharmaceutical law. She represents Clients before common and administrative courts and the Supreme Court. She advises and participates in negotiations and mediation. She specializes in advising industries related to architecture, construction, environmental protection, and the creative industries, especially film.|
She has participated in numerous conferences and training workshops on intellectual property law and civil law. She conducts training on copyright in architecture and construction. She is an author and co-author in scientific and popular science publications, and these include chapters in the Pharmaceutical Law monograph (Wolters Kluwer, 2016) on online pharmacies and patients’ rights at a pharmacy, as well as articles in the Scientific Journal of the Jagiellonian University regarding the issues of common warranty trademarks.
Emilia was awarded the Minister of Economy prize for the best habilitation and doctoral thesis or the best master’s and student dissertation on intellectual property, organized by the Polish Patent Office, for her work entitled Nadużycie prawa do znaku towarowego poprzez używanie w funkcji wspólnego znaku towarowego gwarancyjnego [Abuse of a trademark by using it as collective guarantee trademark].
She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University. She also participated in specialist courses, including negotiation techniques (University of Michigan), witness interview psychology (Open University), theory and brand management (University of East Anglia) and issues of international law (Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, UCLouvain.
She speaks English fluently.
