Bio

Dr. Daniel Książek is an attorney-at-law, and for many years he has practiced and specialised in labour law. He has extensive experience in handling court cases in this scope.

Daniel Książek is a personal advisor on legal matters to management board members and managing directors/personnel directors of the biggest employers operating in Poland. Moreover, he acts as a consultant to employer organisations and trade unions operating in Poland. He is on supervisory boards of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the European Employment Lawyers Association.

He has published numerous works on labour law, including a monograph and document templates. He wrote his doctoral thesis on The workplace as an essential element of the employment contract, which was awarded a distinction in the Minister of Labour and Social Policy competition for the best MA and PhD theses on labour law and social policy.

Since 2013, he has been an assistant at the Chair of Labour Law and Social Policy of the Jagiellonian University, and is a former fellow of the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication at the Jagiellonian University.

Listed in the Legal 500 EMEA, Chambers and Partners, and in the International Who’s Who of Management Labour and Employment Lawyers.

He is fluent in English.
