Igor Sobieski
Bio
Igor’s practice focus is FinTech and data protection, including personal data. At TKP, Igor is part of the Technologies, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) team and advises FinTech companies, in particular on regulatory issues affecting financial institutions.
He developed his professional experience at prestigious law firms in Wrocław and Warsaw, advising financial sector companies on capital market oversight, banking law, and FinTech law, and providing corporate housekeeping services. Igor has also provided representation in court and vis-à-vis other public authorities such as the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Igor is also experienced in advising on intellectual property, industrial property, IT, and gamedev law, he also deals with data protection and protection of personality rights. He has worked on M&A deals in the industrial and technological sectors, and contract negotiation with clients’ Polish and foreign business counterparties.
Igor studied law at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at Wrocław University, and also studied at the New Technologies Law School (IT&TMT) run by the Hugo Grotius Intellectual Property Rights Centre. He has attended numerous training courses and workshops conducted by the Polish Chamber of Brokerage Houses and the Training Institute for Banking Law. Igor has co-authored articles in the Banking Law Monitor.
