Bio

At TKP, Mykoła is part of the Commercial Law and Corporate Advisory team. His practice focus is commercial law, M&A, relocation to Poland, and a full range of issues for Polish and foreign business clients. Mykoła is also experienced in advising on restructuring and bankruptcy law and labor law.

He is in charge of the Ukrainian Desk, and provides advice on a full range of issues for Ukrainian corporate clients and Polish corporate clients currently active in or planning to enter the Ukrainian market.

He works on projects that envisage complete corporate advice and housekeeping. Mykoła is experienced in handling business negotiations, conducting due diligence reviews, and advising on M&A.

He studied at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University, and the Ukrainian Law School at the same institution.  He completed an Akademia Spółek postgraduate course at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and is admitted to the bar in Warsaw,

Mykoła has a fluent command of English, Ukrainian, and Russian.

New PKD codes from 1 January 2025

In September 2024, the Council of Ministers presented a legislative proposal to revise the Polish Classification of Activities (PKD), which will come into force at the beginning of 2025. The changes are a response to the need to update the Polish system of classifying business activities in line with EU standards. The proposal envisages replacing the existing 2007 classification system with a new, more detailed system of PKD codes, including an additional, fifth classification level.

Deregulation Act – changes for entrepreneurs

   The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology has presented a draft law on amending certain laws to deregulate economic and administrative law and to improve the rules for drafting economic law (“Deregulation Act”). The amendment provides for 50 solutions for entrepreneurs, which will be implemented in 35 acts. The Deregulation Act is supposed to facilitate doing business.
